And Speaking of Segues

Play

segueThis week, a random assortment of things, poorly joined together. We discuss flannel, then Latoya gets in touch to talk about Shipley’s in Houston, and Krispy Kreme in London. Then we meander between Apple Jacks, Coke (both new and classic,) a game called Horse, Patrick Stewart and Robert DeNiro mispronouncing things, and how to say the word “Caribbean.” Later, James (not me) takes the quiz and tries to figure out what “layaway” might be, while Johnson goes “on the game.” Yup.

  1. ha ha very funny. I keep thinking about that daft invention of the Segway and if the Beatles had used them how differently they would have looked ie like a barrel of lard. Or maybe not since they did make their way through a lot of drugs. Yeah I’m a Brit in USA and I have always wondered how you can sell donut holes since they are really just hot air. Sure you’d be interested in my exclusive with Kate Middleton http://mommyhasaheadache.blogspot.com/2012/02/world-exclusive-kate-middleton-puts-on.html and I am available to talk nonsense on a podcast anytime!

  2. Awwww..thanks again for another lovely shoutout : ) I remember trying Apple Jacks at a friend’s house when I was about 8, and was unimpressed because they didn’t taste like apple. I expected them to taste faintly of apple pie, but was quite disappointed..good thing I didn’t beg my mother to buy me those..lol
When I was little, I actually thought people actually poked the holes out of the donuts to make donut holes. Another great show, as usual..keep those Jacksons jokes coming when you mention me..y’all always know how to make a girl feel special.. 😛
